Lockheed Martin selected to provide SOF Global Logistics Support Services
The US Department of Defence (DoD) awarded Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MCF) an $8billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF-GLSS) requirement. Five proposals were received for this competitive acquisition.
The contract will provide non-personal, global logistics support services and expertise to maintain programme support and Enterprise management functions for the Programme Executive Office of the SOF Support Activity, with work to be performed at multiple customer locations both inside and outside the continental US, including: Bluegrass Station, Lexington, Kentucky; Bluegrass Army Depot, Richmond, Kentucky; Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and Crestview, Florida.
Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds will be obligated to satisfy the contract minimum amount, while additional funding will be obligated on a task order basis.
