Furthermore, with war at the gates of Europe, Ministries of Interiors and law enforcement bodies are called to play a greater role in securing the territory against malicious activities carried out by different state sponsored and/or non-state actors through a variety of means, including unmanned assets, disinformation/ counterinformation campaigns, espionage (including also cyberespionage), sabotage, and recruitment. In fact, our era imposes new paradigms including military and non-­ military forms of power, as well as the emergence of complex scenarios populated by non-state actors operating in “grey zones” between influence trade and targeted interventions. Security forces cannot remain on the side-lines of these phenomena, as they are in charge of military, civil and judicial missions, permanently engaged on the national territory and abroad. Today’s security forces keep being mixed in nature, an intermediate force between police and military responses. As such, their Held in Nuremberg on February 28 and March 1, Enforce Tac continues to grow and represents a point of reference in Germany. In addition, the increase in the presence of foreign companies is bolstering its relevance as European staple in the domain of homeland security.
