XPONENTIAL 2017: Roboteam Keeps Soldiers Out of Harm’s Way

Multi-purpose UGVs showcased
Roboteam designs and manufactures robotic solutions for the US military, Special Forces, EOD units, and SWAT, and, “has changed how the armed forces and law enforcement use robotics,” says the company at AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2017. Roboteam’s multi-purpose unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) provide tactical and ISR support to a variety of coordinated missions and improve the overall safety conditions, especially to the soldiers and law-enforcement officers that are in harm’s way.

Roboteam has a number of the UGV platforms onsite, including its MTGR (Micro Tactical Ground Robot), which blurs the lines between rugged and delicate. MTGR has the ability to traverse intense outdoor terrain as well as a soft enough touch to disable IEDs making it versatile enough to assist military, law enforcement and public safety agencies.

The Professional Robot (PROBOT), also at the show, is an all-terrain autonomous logistical carrier that can carry up to 1,650 pounds.
Furthermore showcased is IRIS (Individual Robotic Intelligence System), a throwable platform that weighs approximately 3lbs. and can conduct stealth ISR missions to keep soldiers out of harm’s way.

AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2017 is showcasing the future of innovation across unmanned systems and robotics and www.monch.com brings together key developments from the show.
