Compact, High Sensitivity and Affordable
Belgian advanced IR sensor, camera and customised imaging solutions specialist, Xenics, has announced release of the Wildcat+ 640 TE0 (TECless) and WL (Windowless) shortwave IR (SWIR) cameras, rounding out the offering from this family of devices.
High sensitivity is the holy grail for many demanding applications, but this type of camera can be very expensive. With the TE0 version, Xenics proposes an affordable solution with a TECless version running at 200Hz and maintaining the ultimate electro-optical performance of Wildcat+ 640. To complete the Wildcat+ 640 offer, the company now also proposes a ‘windowless’ version (without cover glass), helping to avoid unwanted reflections and interference fringes as requested for laser measurements – typically for laser beam profiling. This configuration is also beneficial for wave-front sensing, as it suppresses any uncontrolled optical distortions due to a sensor window. As this camera is also TECless, the result is a price-optimised solution, as for the Wildcat+ 640 TE0.
