Cutting-edge technology in training & simulation

The National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA, an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association – NDIA) welcomes you to the 2018 I/ITSEC, the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference, starting this week at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

More than 16,000 attendeesre expected at I/ITSEC, the world’s largest training and simulation conference for more than 50 years.

Among attendees will be loads of military members as Florida boasts more than 57,000 active-duty service members. Organisers said more than 200 US Air Force and hundreds of US Navy service members are signed up to attend. The navy and US Marine Corps are the service leads for this year’s event.

This four-day extravaganza features peer-reviewed papers, tutorials, professional workshops, a serious games competition and STEM events for teachers and secondary students. A commercial exhibit hall hosts more than 400 companies, education institutions, military and non-profit organisations.

Admiral Christopher Grady, Commander of US Fleet Forces Command and of US Naval Forces Northern Command, is this year’s keynote speaker to the services. Adm Grady is among leading military minds appearing at I/ITSEC, including: Rear Admiral Ronald Boxall, Director of Naval Surface Warfare; Rear Admiral Kyle Cozad, Commander of Naval Education and Training Command; MajGen Michael Fantini, Director of Global Power Programs for the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force; MajGen Maria Gervais, Deputy Commanding General for the Combined Arms Center—Training; MajGen William Mullen, Commanding General of Training and Education Command; RDML Paul Sohl, Commander of Operational Test and Evaluation Force; BrigGen Eric Austin, Director of Joint Training, Joint Staff J-7; RDML Gregory Harris, Chief of Naval Air Training; BrigGen Arthur Pasagian, Commander of Marine Corps Systems Command; BrigGen Calvert Worth, Commanding General of Training Command; and Capt Timothy Hill, Commanding officer of Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division.

The industry keynote speaker is Stanley Deal, Executive Vice President of The Boeing Co., and President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Global Services.

James Robb, NTSA President. “We’re excited to work with the navy and marines to explore the best of training and simulation with technology savvy service members. The military is bounding forward with the latest innovations, and I/ITSEC is proud to give them the platform.”
