Thales to Incorporate XENTA Radar into Danish GBAD Offer

Thales and Weibel Scientific signed a cooperation agreement in Paris on 28 September, aimed at integrating the Weibel XENTA Doppler family of radars into Thales’ portfolio.

Signed in the presence of French and Danish Defence Ministers, Florence Parly and Trine Bramsen at the Franco-Danish Industrial Days event held at the Danish Embassy, the agreement reinforces the bonds Thales has established with Danish defence industry, in line with the new Danish Defence Industrial Strategy.

The collaboration will strengthen the businesses and create additional opportunities for both companies to deliver the best solution forces expect. In particular, Thales will now offer a common solution for the Danish Army Ground Based Air Defence requirement, incorporating the XENTA-M5 radar. The cooperation sets a milestone for commercial relations between Danish and French defence industries, and underlines Thales’ commitment to invest locally in countries through industrial partnerships and collaboration.
