First Three of Ten Delivered
On 25 January, the Venezuelan Army received the first three Mi-35M2 attack helicopters of a total of ten being upgraded in Russia by Rosvertol, a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters. They arrived at the El Libertador air base in Palo Negro on board an Antonov An-124-100.
The ten helicopters, belonging to Army Aviation Command, are undergoing major inspection, repairs and unspecified upgrades under a contract between Venxinca, the state-owned Venezuelan Import and Export Company, and Rosoboronexport.
