Wide Range of Enabling Technologies to be Deployed
In November Vencore announced it has received a contract to provide cyberspace science, research, engineering and technology integration to the USN Space and Naval Warfare Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific. The contract is valued at US$80-135 million, depending on the exercise of options.
Under the contract, Vencore will examine the architecture, engineering, functionality, interface and interoperability of cyberspace operations systems, services and capabilities at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. This will include all enabling technologies such as operational exercise design and construction, operations and requirements analysis, concept formulation and development, feasibility demonstrations and operational and technical support.
More specifically, the company will support rapid research, development, prototyping, demonstration, evaluation and transition of cyber solutions for SPAWAR Pacific. The broad scope of work, as well as the emphasis on research and analysis, will encourage the development of countermeasures to current and emerging threats.
