Powerful, Flexible Lethal Loitering Systems
UVision Air Ltd has successfully demonstrated two of its HERO family of lethal loitering systems to what it describes as “a strategic customer” in Asia.
HERO-30 – a lightweight manpack munition – and HERO-400EC, featuring a multi-purpose warhead and extended range, both proved the ability to conduct high precision strikes, tracking and lock-on abilities, parachute recovery and mission-abort capabilities, as well as demonstrating flexibility with regard to launch platform.
“This demo is an additional step in UVision’s expansion [of] its customer base in Asia,” commented UVision CEO, Noam Levitt. “The successful live demonstration proved the remarkable capabilities of our systems. Both the HERO-30 and the HERO-400EC incorporate a high level of precision attack and abort capabilities. The systems are simple to operate and allow front-line forces to quickly respond with the ability to eliminate any immediate threat that arises.”
The HERO family is comprised of seven loitering munitions systems, designed for a range of pinpoint strikes in urban areas or remote locations, with flexible effect and minimal collateral damage. They enable forces in the front line to independently locate, track and attack time-sensitive targets. They can also be provided in an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) configuration, allowing the platform to be used as a means of gathering intelligence.
