Delivery Orders to Date Total $42.1 Million

Comtech EF Data Corp has been awarded an $11.4 million (€9.4 million) delivery order for SLM-5650B satellite modems and firmware upgrades by US Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, bringing total awards to date under the contract to $42.1 million, the company announced on 28 January.

The SLM-5650B the company’s latest-generation modem, targeted for critical commercial backhaul, government and military applications. It leverages the heritage and feature set of the SLM-5650A and supports backwards compatibility/interoperability while providing enhanced performance and an expanded feature set. The commercially available modems will support satcoms and interoperability across USN platforms and shore sites.
