$27.4 Million for 32 Systems for P-8A

US Naval Air Systems Command has ordered a further 32 liquid palletized cooling systems from Meggitt, destined for the p-8A POSEIDON fleet, the company announced on 23 December.

To be supplied from Meggitt’s specialist defence division in Irvine, CA, the order directly supports the P-8A aircraft, with follow-on awards anticipated for future lots and spares. Meggitt provides several other thermal management products for the P-8A, and for other aircraft around the world. The innovative solution provides essential cooling for critical mission equipment and sensors, ensuring safe flight operation. “As large complex airborne sensors and equipment technology advances, demand for processing power and power generation increases, cooling becomes mission critical,” observed Gerry Janicki, VP Strategy for Meggitt Defense Systems Inc.
