Optimised for Small to Mid-Sized UAS

Commtact’s EMDLS data link radio units have passed a rigorous US Army testing and evaluation regime with flying colours, the company announced on 19 May. The tests were administered to MIL-810 and MIL-461 standards.

The EMDLS data link units were designed and developed specifically for small- to mid-sized platforms, such as fixed-wing or VTOL drones. The EMDLS BAT is IP67-certified and gave excellent test results in temperature ranges from -40 to +65°C, withstanding hard, gusting rain and severe vibrations, as well as resisting blown sand and dust penetration or damage. The systems are built with specific attention paid to all applicable standards and regulatory requirements, with continuous use in severe weather conditions in mind.
