US Army Selects Envitia for Interoperability Project

Bespoke Software Development for US Army Geospatial Center

Envitia announced on 31 May that it has been selected by the US Army Geospatial Center (AGC) to develop an innovative capability to improve interoperability across the service’s Geospatial Enterprise and between Coalition partners.

The company, which specialises in geospatial and data software and services, will rapidly develop and deploy a prototype portrayal registry for AGC, which will manage and share standardised mapping elements as a centralised service. This will enable military units to share common symbology and mapping elements, so that each user views the same information, but in an environment that works for them, enhancing and enabling interoperability between allies.

Envitia will leverage Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards and integrate with our leading software products to deliver this capability,” stated Envitia CEO, Nabil Lodey.
