Enhanced Capability and Survivability
General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) has received a US$712.3 million order from the US Army for an additional 300 DVHA1 vehicles, under a five-year contract signed in 2020 that includes an option for a sixth year. The Army continues its programme of enhancing capability and survivability within its Stryker brigades by upgrading the vehicle.
“The Stryker A1 features a 450hp, 60,000lb suspension, 910-amp alternator and in-vehicle digital network, while continuing to provide unprecedented soldier survivability,” explained Gordon Stein, the company’s VP of US Operations. “Stryker is the Army’s largest combat vehicle fleet – combat-proven, cost-effective, highly mobile, versatile, sustainable and transportable”.
