Supplies for US and Allied Government Procurement

Ultra Naval Systems & Sensors has been awarded a $23 million (€19.7 million) modification to an existing contract for production of MK54 MOD 0 lightweight torpedo (LWT) array kits, associated production support material, spares, and engineering and hardware support services, the company announced on 27 September.

The contract – which covers option year three of the existing contract to supply array nose assembly kits – combines procurement for the US government, and the governments of Belgium, Brazil, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain under the Foreign Military Sales programme.

“As we continue to provide critical components of the MK54 lightweight torpedo, we understand the ongoing need to deliver reliable and effective undersea warfare capabilities to meet the anti-submarine warfare needs of US and allied fleets,” commented Martin Lewis, President of Naval Systems and Sensors.
