Ensuring Integrated Sonar Systems Continues to Support RAN Requirements
Ultra (Australia) and Raytheon Australia have signed an agreement for the 5th year of in-service support for the Royal Australian Navy’s HOBART-class air warfare destroyers.
This contract ensures that the Integrated Sonar System installed on the vessels – consisting of hull-mounted and towed variable-depth sonars with an integrated sonar processing suite to provide an advanced multi-sensor sonar capability – continues to support the RAN’s operational requirements.
Bernard Mills, President of Ultra Sonar Systems, commented: “Ultra is committed to work closely with Raytheon and our other support partners to maximise the availability and operational capability of the HOBART-class destroyer for the Royal Australian Navy.”
