UK MoD Orders Additional NLAW

$280 Million Saab Order, Delivery by 2026

Saab has received an order, valued at approx. SEK2.9 billion ($280 million), from the British MoD, for the Next-Generation Light Anti-Tank Weapon (NLAW), to be delivered in the 2023-2026 timeframe.

A shoulder-launched guided anti-tank missile system with a top-attack profile, NLAW combines the simplicity of light anti-armour weapons with the advantages of heavy, crew-operated guided missile systems. With NLAW, a single soldier can take out a heavily-protected modern MBT at ranges of 20-800 metres.

Demand is increasing for anti-tank systems such as NLAW. We look forward to further strengthening our close relationship with the UK and are proud to continue delivering our proven and trusted anti-tank capability,” commented Saab President and CEO, Micael Johansson.

NLAW brings powerful anti-armour capability to the squad level. (Saab)
