£31 Million Contract for 2022-2024 Deliveries

Ultra Maritime’s Sonobuoy Systems business has won a three-year follow-on Sonobuoy Capability Contract from the UK MoD, valued at £31 million (€35.9 million), the company announced on 23 March. The UK-built devices lie at the heart of effective ASW capabilities.

The contract sees Ultra continuing to supply sonobuoys for the Royal Navy’s MERLIN maritime patrol helicopters 2022-2024. The engineering, logistics and support aspects of the contract will ensure the RN maintains a persistent ASW surveillance capability. “This investment by the Ministry of Defence enables the UK’s armed forces to deal with modern and evolving submarine threats,” commented Eric Webster, President, Sonobuoy Systems.
