Autopilot Provides Control and Reporting for Engine Control Unit

Spain’s UAV Navigation and Oregon-based Power4Flight have partnered to integrate the former’s VECTOR range of autopilot’s with Power4Flight’s IntelliJect EFI electronic fuel injection systems, designed specifically for use in small-engine applications such as UAS, the companies announced on 7 June.

Offering significant communication advantages, the autopilot will enable operators to control and receive real-time status data – such as RPM, temperature, pressure and throttle range and error from the engine. The IntelliJect EFI, which is engine-agnostic, is highly configurable across a wide variety of engine types. Alongside the company’s other products, it is characterised by reliability, durability and affordability.

The integration process, in which those issues encountered were resolved jointly, expands the network of manufacturers with which UAV Navigation is partnering to bring commonality, interoperability and reliability to the UAV operator sector.
