Company Plans Imminent Drone/UAV Defence Offering
 
TSG Group has told MONS that it plans to enhance its ADCCS (Air Defence Command and Control System) over the next year to enable the system to be capable of providing defence against drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

 

The ADCCS is essentially a scalable software system which can be used for the Command and Control (C2) of air operations. The company informed MONS that the product is in use with the Israeli Air Force providing operational level air C2 for the entire country producing the national recognised air picture and the means to prosecute hostile air targets (including rocket, artillery and mortar fire) as well as the command and control of air operations. The company states that the ADCCS has been operational with the Israeli Air Force for the past 35 years, although the system has been continuously enhanced and upgraded throughout the entirety of its life to enable it to remain abreast of current and emerging threats. In addition, the product is used to provide C2 for the Rafael Advanced Defence Systems David Sling active radar homing, and Israel Aerospace Industries Arrow family active/semi-active radar homing surface-to-air missiles in service with the Israeli Defence Forces.

 

The planned upgrade to enhance the system to detect and prosecute drones and UAVs will take the form of a software enhancement which can be rolled out across existing ADCCS in service around the world, the company continued. TSG also stated that it can provide sensors from third party supplies and integrate these with the ADCSS software to ensure the drone/UAV detection and prosecution mission.
