Australian firm Thomas Global Systems has won three firm fixed-price contracts for specialised armoured vehicle electronics, “for a major US defence programme.”
Deliveries will commence by the end of 2016 and it seems that the company will be delivering components for a number of armoured vehicles, though neither they nor the systems integrator have yet been identified. Included in task deliveries will be Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display (AMLCD) Multifunction Displays as well as high-resolution Biocular Imaging Control Units (BICU).
Robert S. Pandis, Vice President of Business Development for US Military Programs, said “Thomas Global’s technology will ensure our armoured vehicle customers have the best tactical targeting display solutions available, which can be supported well into the future,” adding that the company specialises in delivering practical innovation in, “flight deck upgrades, ground vehicle display systems or specialist mission systems.”
