TrustNest Restricted Cloud System Allows Secure Sharing of Classified Information
TrustNest Restricted – France’s “first and only private cloud platform approved to handle restricted level information” – is now running, according to the developer behind it.
Thales made the announcement following a demonstration of the system for the country’s chief of defence procurement, Joël Barre, at the company’s Digital Factory. The system was developed in partnership with ANSSI, France’s national agency for information system security, and the Ministry for the Armed Forces. It will be used by entities working on major French and European defence programmes – be they large prime contractors, small businesses, customer entities, government agencies, or other partners and suppliers. The system has received certification to handle information classified at the Country Eyes Only and Restricted levels.
“As the threat of cyberattacks increasingly becomes part of the daily lives of businesses and organisations and their employees, the ability to protect sensitive data is more crucial than ever,” said Marc Darmon, EVP of Thales’s secure communications and information systems division. “Thales is a world leader in data protection and can now offer its customers the first all-French collaborative platform officially approved to handle restricted level information.”
