The two companies signed a contract with the British MoD in February for the CAMCOPTER S-100
Thales and Schiebel have agreed to promote the Rotary Wing Uncrewed Air System (RWUAS) CAMCOPTER S-100 and S-300 systems with cutting-edge technologies worldwide.
The idea is to combine Thales’ expertise in advanced technology solutions, sensors and system integration with Schiebel’s experience in designing, developing and delivering high-performance RWUAS, to drive innovation, find new markets and meet customers’ needs worldwide.
The agreement comes at a time when the unmanned/uncrewed aerial reconnaissance and surveillance system industry is expanding, and after the two companies were awarded the Uncrewed Air Systems (UAS) contract “Peregrine” by the UK Ministry of Defence for the CAMCOPTER S-100 in February.
“We are thrilled to embark on this strategic partnership with Schiebel,” stated Herve Hamy, Vice President ISR Business Line at Thales. “Together, on a case-by-case basis, we will harness our collective expertise to deliver cutting-edge solutions that will undoubtedly redefine the RWUAS landscape,” he added.
“Schiebel is excited about the opportunities this collaboration brings,” commented Hans Georg Schiebel, Chairman of the Schiebel Group. “Combining forces where appropriate with Thales will further strengthen our offerings and provide our customers with even more advanced, robust and reliable solutions.”
