Advanced Control and Monitoring Package for Critical Systems
British specialist Servowatch has been contracted by Bangkok Dock Company to supply its Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the latest PATTANI-class OPV being built for the Royal Thai Navy.
Based on the same BAE Systems RIVER-class design as the AMAZONAS-class operated by the Brazilian Navy, the PATTANI-class vessels will benefit from Servowatch’s most advanced integrated ship control system, which features an IPMS control and monitoring package for the vessel’s propulsion, power generation, HVAC, fire-detection, tank gauging systems and auxiliary services.
Modern naval vessels – and to a degree larger, complex merchant vessels also – are characterised by greatly reduced crew numbers than was the case for previous generations. It therefore becomes increasingly vital that integrated systems work under widely varying conditions and are reliable in all circumstances. IPMS solutions speak to this requirement, ensuring the functionality of critical systems and components.
Servowatch has invested heavily in the design and development of the next generation IPMS systems, offering a range of bespoke solutions to provide propulsion, electrical and auxiliary plant management from multifunction workstations with automation programmed into the system.
