The appointment reflects Terma’s ambition to strengthen its ability to navigate a more complex geopolitical and commercial environment
Steen Hommel, former State Secretary and COO at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will join Terma as Executive Vice President for Public Affairs, Communication and Partnerships on 1 August 2025, bringing decades of diplomatic and strategic experience to strengthen the company’s external engagement amid growing geopolitical complexity.
The role covers responsibility for public affairs, external communication, and strategic partnerships.
Steen Hommel joins Terma following a 27-year career in the Danish Foreign Service, most recently as State Secretary and Chief Operating Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has previously served as Ambassador to Poland and as State Secretary for Trade and Global Sustainability.
