Companies Combine Expertise and Innovation for Effective, Sustainable Solution

Leading specialists in mission data management and systems integrators are teaming to address the UK MoD’s transformative Mission Data for Information Advantage (MD4IA) project.

The team, designated Team NOVUS, leverages individual company areas of expertise and innovative approaches to provide mission data management solutions to all current and future British military platforms – land, sea and air.

Team NOVUS comprises major UK system integrators and specialist SMEs, together offering unrivalled experience in delivering complex data-rich EW programmes that harness OEM knowledge. Team members are trusted to deliver mission data solutions for the UK MOD and their international allies and partners; together, they offer the largest combined EW and mission data capability in Europe.

The founding members are committed to a transformative MD4IA enterprise approach – one built on outcome-based relationships and an agile delivery culture. Discussions continue with like-minded companies to enhance the Team NOVUS response to the MD4IA challenge.

Team members and their contributions are:

• BAE Systems: platform system integration and EWOS data services, including test and evaluation;

• Leonardo: EW systems and mission data support, mission data production and analysis products, training programmes and personnel;

• Meta Mission Data: EW data analytics, system security accreditation and operational support;

• MASS: EWOS capabilities such as data management solutions, mission data services, training solutions and consultant management services, operating across cyber security, digital forensics and information management;

• Sigma: expertise in collaborative working and a unique, impartial approach to improving supplier and customer relationships;

• Thales: partner of choice for the Royal Navy’s mission data requirements and supplier of air, surface and sub-surface EW sensors to the fleet – end-to-end expertise for maritime mission data requirements including exploitation, production and optimisation.
