Symetrica $35 Million Win for VeriFinder RIID

Several Hundred Devices to be Delivered Through 2025

Symetrica, Inc., has won a US DoD contract, valued at $35 million (€29.5 million) for its VeriFinder radioisotope identification device (RIID), after meeting extremely challenging specifications.

The company will deliver “several hundred” VeriFinders for use across the US armed forces. Delivery will commence in the next several months and is due to continue through 2025. The technology behind the device, according to the company, is at “the cutting edge of technology that deals with radioactive threats.”

Brett Roberson, VP Sales and General Manager, commented that the award “…is good business for us and contributes to a string of recent successes, [and also] comes as the result of another extensive, competitive  testing campaign performed by the government.”
