Contract estimated at $15.6 Million

Kongsberg Protech Systems has signed contracts with armasuisse, the Swiss defence procurement agency, for delivery of PROTECTOR RWS valued at approx. NOK130 million (US$15.6 million).

The versions delivered to Switzerland, according to the company, will be in an updated configuration, featuring new, advanced capabilities for new platforms. “Kongsberg has delivered PROTECTOR remote weapon systems to Switzerland since 2007. This configuration is the result of a close cooperation with the customer to develop the system for a new generation of platforms,” says Espen Henriksen, President of Kongsberg Protech Systems.

Kongsberg, which states it is the world’s leading provider of RWS, has so far won contracts with the defence and security forces of 18 nations for PROTECTOR.
