$88 Million for Delivery 2024-2026
Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for an unspecified quantity of the company’s Next Generation Light Anti-Tank Weapon (NLAW), valued at SEK900 million (US$88 million), with deliveries scheduled for 2024-2026. The order falls under an existing framework contract.
NLAW is a shoulder-launched anti-tank missile system that features a top attack profile, exploiting the greater vulnerability of most armoured vehicles from that angle. It combines the simplicity of light anti-armour weapons with the advantages of heavy, crew-operated guided missiles. With NLAW, a single soldier can defeat a heavily protected modern MBT at ranges between 20-800 metres.
