It securely stores personal items by using a mechanical keypad
Streamlight has launched the SpeedLocker, a portable storage container with a secure, non-electronic keypad locking system which doesn’t need batteries or power sources.
Measuring 31.5cm long, 20.8cm wide and 7.1cm high, the lightweight container is designed – also thanks to its foam insert – to carry a range of items requiring safe and secure storage, including various compact firearm models.
“Streamlight developed this portable storage container to help ensure that customers’ personal items are protected and out of reach from unauthorised persons, while still providing fast one-handed access,” said Michael F. Dineen, Streamlight’s Chief Revenue Officer. “It securely stores personal items, such as a wallet, car keys, travel documents, or compact pistols.”
The SpeedLocker’s simple patented mechanical keypad provides 31 lock combinations and comes with an Allen key to change the combination. The container is suitable for air travel when used with the supplied padlock – and carries a customisable front nameplate.
The portable storage container’s rugged hard shell is made of high-impact polymer and features a folding carry handle. Its internal dimensions are 20.3cm long by 18cm wide, allowing for storing various compact firearms and other items. The SpeedLocker weighs 1179g without contents, is water resistant, and comes with mounting holes to secure the box to rigid surfaces such as lockers, toolboxes or a vehicle centre console.
