Development of Family of Systems for EW, Cyber and SIGINT
California-based Spectranetix announced on 8 August it has been awarded a $28.8 million Firm Fixed Prototype Project Agreement known as C4ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) Electronic Warfare, Offensive Cyber and SIGINT.
The effort, for the US Army, is aimed at the development of a software-defined CMOSS family of systems for fixed site, mounted and dismounted operations in all three mission areas. These Army CMOSS systems, as well as their Air Force SOSA standard equivalents, will be able to add capability rapidly in the field to combat evolving threats, the company stated.
Work will be conducted with Consortium Management Group, Inc., on behalf of the Consortium for Command, Control and Communications in Cyberspace and will be completed by late 2020.
