The company builds on its recent success and prepares for the next phase of growth

SpearUAV announced on February 24 the appointment of  Yiftach Kleinman as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Over the past few years, SpearUAV has achieved significant milestones, expanding its market presence and securing major contracts under the leadership of Founder and CTO, Gadi Kuperman, and the company’s experienced management team. Most recently, SpearUAV secured a $20 million contract, further reinforcing its position as an industry leader.

Kleinman, who previously served as the company’s Deputy CEO and EVP Commercial, brings over 25 years of executive experience in the global defense sector. He will replace Gadi Kuperman, Founder of SpearUAV, who will continue as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chairman of the Board. As he steps into the CEO role, his mission is to accelerate SpearUAV’s growth and drive the company toward even greater strategic opportunities in the global market, particularly in the loitering weapon systems field.

Throughout his career, Kleinman has led high-profile defense programs and secured multi-billion-dollar contracts with international customers and leading OEMs. As Deputy GM of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Land & Naval Division, he managed a multinational portfolio valued at approximately $300 million, including the company’s largest M&A acquisition—worth over £100 million.

SpearUAV has built a strong foundation with cutting-edge technologies and a world-class team,” said Gadi Kuperman, Founder and CTO of SpearUAV. “We are entering an exciting new phase, and Yiftach’s leadership, industry knowledge, and business acumen will help take us to the next level.”

I am honored by the Board’s trust in me to lead SpearUAV into its next chapter,” said Yiftach Kleinman. “The company has already made significant achievements, thanks to Gadi’s vision and the dedication of the entire team. Now, my focus is on expanding our impact in the defense sector by positioning loitering weapon systems at the battalion echelon, ensuring their accessibility for both infantry and mechanized forces. This will enhance operational effectiveness and reinforce SpearUAV’s role as a key player in modern warfare solutions.“
