Procurement Addresses Urgent V/UHF Requirement

The Spanish MoD has selected Elbit Systems’ E-LynX tactical software-defined radio (SDR) for its urgent V/UHF radio acquisition programme, the company announced on 4 January.

E-LynX has already been procured by Spain for its combat battalions (November 2020) and its new 8×8 Dragón IFVs (November 2021. The new radios will be manufactured in Spain and will feature the national crypto solution, as a result of collaboration between the Israeli company and Telefónica. With an open architecture approach, the E-LynX SDR family provides interoperable multi-channel network capacity, capable of dynamic and autonomous optimisation of spectrum resources and concurrent mission execution while maintaining fast, resilient and secure communications in any terrain.
