Significant Future Demand for Innovative Containerised Systems
At IDET 2017 in Brno on 31 May, SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts, a subsidiary of Salzgitter Maschinenbau, signed a contract with Czech radar manufacturer ERA for the series production of eight containerised mast systems. SMAG’s Ftm 25/6 Medium mast system will be coupled with ERA’s VERA NG passive reconnaissance and surveillance system. Together, the two systems provide a highly efficient solution that fits into a standard 20ft container.

Both companies see significant future demand for innovative containerised solutions such as this and are expecting repeat orders, according to a statement released on the occasion of the contract signature.
