I/ITSEC 2018: SimCentric Shows Breadth and Depth

From Fratricide Reduction to Joint Fires Enhancements….

Exhibiting on the Bohemia Interactive Simulations booth at I/ITSEC in Orlando, 26-30 November, SimCentric Technologies will celebrate its tenth consecutive appearance at the world’s largest military training and simulation event with a number of activities aimed at strengthening the company’s reputation for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capability solutions.

CEO Dr Adam Easton will present a white paper “Toward Megacity Simulation: A proposed Pattern-of-Life Definition Standard,” addressing advances in AI that support flexible architecture patterns-of-life and synthetic environment megacities.

Company VP Strategy, Gareth Collier, will present a white paper “Towards Zero Fratricide – Simulation-Enabled Live Field Firing,” addressing systemic fratricide risk reduction solutions for complex live firing in combined arms training scenarios.

The company will launch two new products during the show. SAF-FORESIGHT is the product that provides a solution to the question Mr Collier’s paper will pose. It is a live fire exercise planning, range design support analysis, activity risk mitigation and automated safety alert intervention technology that directly enables fratricide risk reduction. SAFFIRES is SimCentric’s standards-based, multi-channel Joint Fires training application, incorporating AI-enabled aerial and surface fires, advanced 3D ballistics and damage modelling, with numerous visual and analysis aides. It will be demonstrated in conjunction with the VBS Blue image generator.

Also on show will be FiresFST, the company’s Joint Fires training software, integrated with VBS3. A host of new features have been added over the past 12 months including: enhanced distributed capabilities when used in desktop training; user interface refinements; additional advanced Call-For-Fire workflows for special missions; support for additional aircraft and weapons; improved close air support and AC-130 workflows; Naval Gunfire enhancements; and a dedicated JFO workflow.
