MONS at Singapore Airshow

Bringing together key developments

Singapore Airshow is a biennial event that brings together the who’s who in the aerospace defence industry. It attracts more than 1,000 exhibitors from around 50 countries and draws almost 50,000 visitors from all over the world to the Changi Exhibition Center in the Southeast Asian city-state, 6-11 February 2018. The trend for Asia as an aviation market is set to continue, the region being one of fastest-growing in the world.

MILITARY TECHNOLOGY has a dedicated focus on defence for and from Singapore featuring Singapore Air Force modernisation/overview incl. training overseas and a statement by Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence of Singapore

Furthermore, aticles on ASEAN Special Operations Forces, an interview with Brig.Gen. Michel St-Louis, Deputy Commanding General for Operations at US Army I Corps informing about the corps, its functions and missions and the Asia-Pacific (ASPAC) theatre.

As an added bonus, MT features an interview with Chuck Murdock, SAIC Vice President for Army Operations and Modernization, informing MT about integrating mature, currently produced technology into the US Army’s Mobile Protected Firepower (MPF) programme. Based on ST Kinetics’ Next Generation Armoured Fighting Vehicle (NGAFV) chassis and CMI Defence’s Cockerill Series 3105 turret currently in production, SAIC is competing for the EMD)contract to build prototypes that incorporate a lightweight combat vehicle design while still providing mobility and lethality for Army units.
