SFC Energy Fuel Cells Undergoes Testing with UK MoD

New UK partner ZeroAlpha Solutions successfully trials SFC Energy’s fuel cells with UK MoD

SFC Energy, a leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, announced an exclusive new defence industry sales partnership today with ZeroAlpha Solutions Ltd., a leading supplier of networking hardware, software and sustainable power solutions to the UK and European defence and security markets.

With their track record as a communications and power systems integrator for the UK defense and security industry, ZeroAlpha Solutions will sell and customise SFC Energy’s portfolio of defence and security power products to meet the specific off-grid power requirements of UK customers in those industries. In partnership with ZeroAlpha Solutions, SFC’s range of defence products were selected to undergo extensive field trials by the UK MoD under both the Army Warfighting Experiment and Information Warrior exercises. With an objective of providing sustainable and tactical power at the tactical edge the fuel cells successfully provided extended silent watch capability and enhanced mission endurance to both vehicle and dismounted applications.

SFC Energy’s fuel cells have successfully demonstrated a true game changing capability to the UK MoD during arduous testing by the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Marines,Stewart Burton, Managing Director of ZeroAlpha Solutions, said. “This technology has clearly shown that it is more than fit for purpose in extending the operational duration of complex vehicle mission systems and dismounted soldiers to equal measures, providing them with a key tactical advantage in the field while reducing their dependency on less efficient legacy power options that fall short of meeting the increasing power demand of our armed forces.”

Our partnership with ZeroAlpha Solutions brings our award-winning technology and our proven defense and security portfolio now also to customers in the UK,Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG, concluded. “We see a growing need for reliable off-grid and back-up power for mobile, stationary, and vehicle based applications alike. ZeroAlpha’s excellent industry network will help us leverage that demand in the UK.”
