Sectra renews contract with the Dutch ministries. (Sectra)

The contract allows the Dutch ministries to continue to use Sectra’s secure communication as a service, enabling the ministries and government officials to securely exchange classified information critical to national security

Dutch ministries have renewed their contract with international cybersecurity and medical imaging IT company Sectra. The service covers a range of solutions, tailored to support diverse security and communication needs, allowing the ministries to equip employees with the most appropriate tools based on their individual requirements.

Our products and services are designed to ensure that highly sensitive communication remains protected, particularly in today’s increasingly complex global security environment. This contract renewal demonstrates the strength of our cooperation and our joint commitment to protecting national security through innovative and reliable technology,” says Jeroen de Muijnck, Managing Director of Sectra Communications BV.

The contracted secure communication as a service is used for both national and international communication. The renewed contract includes Sectra’s secure communication solutions for encrypted speech, messaging, and data transfer at the classification level SECRET. These quantum-resilient solutions ensure that Dutch ministries and government officials can communicate securely and exchange sensitive documents through secure file distribution. With high availability, the solutions utilize a variety of IP networks – including satellite, fixed, and mobile networks – making them adaptable to diverse communication needs.

The Dutch ministries have used Sectra’s secure communications services since 2007. The four-year contract extension was signed during the fourth quarter of Sectra’s 2024/2025 fiscal year.
