Orders for Systems and Support over Four-Year Period
In a joint procurement agreement with Saab, Denmark and Norway have signed framework agreements allowing their respective armed forces to order both static and mobile camouflage systems from the company over a four-year period. The agreements also allow support services to be ordered during the same period.
Both nations have been users for years of Saab’s advanced BARRACUDA camouflage systems for static and mobile applications, protecting personnel, vehicles and base infrastructure against hostile sensors and enemy target acquisition. Additional equipment can now be ordered in woodland, desert and winter configurations under the new agreement.
“Both Denmark and Norway have decided to strengthen their armed forces and this is one part of that,” Anders Wiman, Head of the company’s BARRACUDA business unit, said. “They will now have the possibility to order systems that will keep them undetected in all conditions and in many different environments. We are ready to deliver high-tech camouflage solutions to them whenever they are needed, and this will definitely strengthen their capabilities on the battlefield.”
