SEK200 Million Order Covers 2020-2024
Saab has received an order for service and maintenance for the Norwegian Combat Training Centre valued at approximately 200 MSEK (€19.3 million), the company announced on 23 October.
Valid from now until October 2024, the contract also offers an opportunity for an optional three additional years’ coverage. The company’s commitments under the contract cover operational system support and setup of an additional site in northern Norway. Saab has worked with and supported the Norwegian armed forces with training and simulation systems since 2004.
“We will maintain the possibilities to interoperability with NATO and other allied nations, but also provide additional capabilities to the Norwegian customer by the set-up at an additional site,” commented Åsa Thegström, Head of the Training & Simulation business unit.
Norway will retain the capability of training with up to brigade-sized units in-country and abroad. The interoperability with NATO and other countries are and will be an important capability in multinational live exercises with simulators, for example with training partners such as the US, Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands.
