Based on Saab 2000 Airframe, Delivery by 2023

Saab has received an order from an unnamed customer for its ERIEYE airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) system, the company announced on 18 May.

The order, valued at SEK1.553 billion (€147 million), calls for a system based on the Saab 2000 platform to be delivered to the customer by 2023. The Saab 2000 ERIEYE is a complete AEW&C system, incorporating multi-role, multi-mission capabilities for a variety of military, security and civil operational applications. The airborne radar and a wide range of other sensors provides operators with enhanced and detailed situational awareness in applications as diverse as border surveillance or search and rescue operations.
