TTEL to Form Part of VSdA System
RUAG’s TTEL telephony solution is to form part of the ‘Armed Forces Voice System’ (VSdA) for the Swiss armed forces, the company announced in mid-April.
An autonomous, tactical, independently-operated communications system, the VSdA project aims at providing secure voice communications and thereby assuring command capability. The contract, which procures a secure, militia-compatible telephony solution for a dedicated group of users, strengthens RUAG’s position as a strategic technology partner of the Swiss Armed Forces, the company asserted in a media release.
TTEL enables users to set up and operate a telephony system with a decentralised directory. In this way RUAG supports user mobility and guarantees the greatest possible security of their communication activities. All users can be continually reached on a secure line, regardless of physical location. In addition to developing the TTEL software application, RUAG will take install and maintain the system.
