ISDEF 2019: RS Dynamics miniEXPLONIX Outstrips Competition

Miniaturised Lightweight Detector Covers Full Spectrum

At ISDEF 2019 in Tel Aviv this week Swiss explosives and chemical detection systems developer, RS Dynamics, showed its latest mobile system, the miniEXPLONIX.

The device uses unique IRSSIL-D technology to enable quick, precise detection of explosive traces in a wide variety of operational scenarios. Using laser technology, it is able to detect and identify traces at the nanogram to microgram level, making it probably the most accurate device of its kind currently on the market. (see video clip below) The laser system allows the device to identify explosives through plastic bags, dark glass bottles and other containers without the loss of any precision or accuracy.

The detection capability of the miniEXPLONIX covers the full spectrum of explosives, including homemade and non-tagged explosives. It has an internal calibration system and extremely rapid cleaning/clearing times. Its miniaturised size, robust nature and precision capabilities makes the miniEXPLONIX a very suitable tool for military and homeland security deployments. In combination with its low weight, cost of ownership, ruggedised casing and minimised consumable expenses, the miniEXPLONIX is likely to be far ahead of its competitors in the mobile detection space.

Commenting on the company’s experience at ISDEF this year, Director of Marketing and Sales, Daniel Bruengger and CEO, George Jiri Blaha, noted that they were able to make “great global contacts because Israel is the best venue to see the latest and best innovations.” Blaha also shared with MON details of a new product they soft-launched at ISDEF: MON will feature this in an exclusive preview shortly.
