Codifies Information Security and Data Privacy at All Levels

TÜV NORD CERT GmbH – an external certification body – has confirmed that the dedicated German locations of Rohde & Schwarz GmbH have a management system in line with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 requirements, the company announced on 7 September. The Rohde & Schwarz ATC Center of Competence for VCS has had this certification since 2020.

The certification confirms the company’s commitment to assuring information security and data privacy at every level – a distinction that is becoming increasingly important in an ever more competitive commercial and contractual environment.

Information security and data privacy are vital to Rohde & Schwarz customers and partners. The company’s information security management system (ISMS) covers product development and implementation for customer projects and systems. The system is also used when operating and managing internal IT services and support processes, such as HR and corporate security. It has a special focus on secure communications for naval systems and tactical communications and critical infrastructure, such as air traffic control, as well as cybersecurity.

ISO/IEC 27001 is a widely used ISMS standard. It enables organisations of any kind to manage the security of their own information assets, as well as those entrusted to them by third parties during joint projects.
