Thales successfully test fires its unguided 70mm/2.75’’ rocket system
Thales announced that it had successfully test fired its unguided 70mm/2.75’’ rockets in Hungary and its 70mm/2.75’’ laser guided rockets in Sweden. These took place in the context of Thales’ recent win of a contract from Airbus Helicopters for the test of its rocket systems to boost the H145M mission capability. These rockets contribute to increase HForce efficiency, the new weapon management system to equip Airbus Helicopters’ platforms.
The 70mm/2.75’’ rockets have also been recently selected by the German armed forces to increase the training of the UH Tiger units and by the Spanish armed forces to complete the weapon system of the Tiger HAD-E.
