Online Waveform Processing and Multiple Target Capabilities Riegl’s miniVUX-1UAV lightweight laser scanner, specifically aimed at the drone market and first unveiled at InterGEO in Germany late last year, is set to bring significant additional capability to the emerging generation of small and mini-Unamnned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

Compact and weighing just 1.55kg, the scanner makes use of Riegl’s unique online waveform processing LiDAR technology and provides operators with highly accurate laser scanning and mapping capabilities for multiple targets at any one time. The system is particularly suited to applications in snow and icy conditions and its ability to process multiple targets makes it a good solution for ground mapping through dense foliage.
