International Customer Commits to More Than €90 Million
On 29 March, Rheinmetall announced that Denel Munitions, its South African subsidiary, has won several major contracts from an international customer for mine clearance systems and ammunition, valued at in excess of €90 million.

One contract covers the supply of two PLOFADDER mine clearance systems. PLOFADDER is a rocket-powered mine clearance device that clears a 160x9m lane through a minefield and is a market leader in its category. The contract, which includes training devices as well as munitions, has a total value of over €28 million.

A second contract, announced for the second quarter of 2017, calls for delivery of a range of ammunition and is valued at approximately €65 million.
