Specific Training for Rescue Mission Capabilities
Reiser Simulation & Training’s (RST) H135 full flight simulator (FFS), approved to EASA Level D, is now ready for training at Lufthansa Aviation Training in Frankfurt, the company announced on 31 May.
The simulator complements a similarly-qualified H145 FFS, which has been in operation at the same location since last summer. Both use Reiser Simulation & Training’s advanced roll-on roll-off system, allowing reconfiguration on demand to almost any rotary- or fixed-wing platform.
Night rescue missions have become increasingly frequent and the simulators are thus in demand for appropriate critical high-fidelity training. They also feature a mixed-reality third crewmember station, offering the entire aircrew the opportunity to learn how to abseil.
“Pilot training is of great importance for flight safety. Our approach is to specialise in the requirements of rescue helicopter crews that must be optimally prepared and thus trained for any situation in any weather […] This simulator is proven to meet [the] highest training standards and is even exceeding [the] requirements given by [the] EASA”, commented RST’s CEO, Dr Roman Sperl.
