Specifically optimized for SIGINT operations, Safe-D delivers search performance significantly faster than conventional COTS database solutions
RECONIQ announced on May 5 a new patent for Safe-D – a high-performance emission database designed to meet the increasing demands of modern signal intelligence (SIGINT). Safe-D is available either in RECONIQs intelligence control and analysis system (ICAS) as well as separate module or as the foundation of RECONIQ’s integrator solution ENGINE – delivering unmatched speed, scalability, and operational independence.
Safe-D (Smart and Fast Emission Database) processes over 12,000 datasets per second, equaling more than 1 billion signal acquisitions daily, making it one of the most powerful domain specific solutions.
Complementing Safe-D with a set of combinable AI-driven modules that seamlessly integrate via REST interfaces even to 3rd party software. These modules enhance signal identification, reduce analyst workload, and improve resource efficiency – empowering users to manage more surveillance tasks with equal or fewer personnel.
Key modules include the Signal Finder, an AI-based tool that analyzes wideband IQ data to detect and identify signals in real time. Running on a standard GPU, signal finding processes up to 30 MHz bandwidth efficiently, delivering high-speed signal analysis capabilities without specialized hardware.
The Voice Activity Detection (VAD) module determines whether a demodulated signal contains human speech. It recognizes speech across all known languages – and even unknown ones, ensuring no critical voice communication goes undetected. VAD supports formats like *.wav, *.mp3, *.m4a, *.wma and more.
Additionally, a Speech-to-Text module was designed specifically for the radio reconnaissance domain as an AI-enhanced transcription tool – based on RECONIQs software expertise and Whisper technology – to convert speech into text with high accuracy, even in noisy or challenging radio environments. It supports 60+ languages, offers near real-time transcription, and integrates seamlessly with ICAS or third-party systems.
The AI stack is fully on-premise designed and REST-based integration readiness guarantees maximum data control, flexibility, and rapid deployment in sensitive, tactical or strategic environments.
