Contract up to $279 Million for Design and Engineering
Raytheon has been awarded a contract by Naval Sea Systems Command to deliver the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) to the US Navy (USN).
The $15.3 million (€13.7 million) cost-plus-incentive-fee, firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-only contract covers design agent and engineering services efforts to support CEC. It includes options which, if exercised, would bring cumulative contract value to $279.3 million. Work is expected to be complete by September 2022. If all options are exercised, work will continue through April 2024.
The programme provides a sensor network with integrated fire control capability that significantly improves strike force air and missile defence capabilities by coordinating measurement data from strike force air search sensors on CEC-equipped units into a single,
Integrated real-time, composite track air picture. CEC improves battle force effectiveness by improving overall situational awareness and by enabling longer range, cooperative, multiple, or layered engagement strategies.
